It is time for another MyGrafico Challenge! This week's challenge was to create a project using a cute little emo witch with her trusty familiar cat. This digital stamp is called 'Little Witch 1' by Clip Art and Scraps.

My project this week is a treat holder. I also used my Cricut machine to cut out the tree and moon. Notice the edge of the top flap? I used the MS edge punch.

Hootiful

This week over at MyGrafico the theme challenge #67 was to do some Paper Piecing on our projects. I tried a different way of paper piecing by incorporating digital papers by Dotted Daisy - Dotted Line paper & digital images by Cocoa Studios - Mod Owls.

My project this week is a Diorama card. Diorama cards add depth and make things look real - they can open up a window on the world.
Challenges:
MyGrafico - Paper Piecing
A Spoon Full of Sugar - Anything Goes
Papertake Weekly - Animal Magic

I used the Cocoa Studios - Mod Owls as my inspiration for paper piecing. What's more exciting then to paper piece on top of digital papers. I will have to say this was a very difficult project I tried. I was really excited when everything worked out.
The paper piecing was a no brainier using this set of cute and modern owls that are perfect for designing baby shower invitations, announcements, birthday invites, cards, stickers and more!

Using the
Dotted Line paper by Dotted Daisy worked out beautifully. This Cheerful and fun paper set is full of dots! So much fun and for so many uses. Use them for scrapbooking pages, storyboards, card making, bag tag making, banner making and more. Enjoy using your imagination with this fun collection. The saying on the card is from Create TLC.

Spooktacular Gwen

Shadows of a thousand years rise again unseen, voices whisper in the trees,"Tonight is Halloween!"

Just wanted to share another fun Halloween card layout with you. The digital stamp is called Gwen from Stretch 'N Bubbles. After coloring the image with Copic markers I heat embossed with Holographic embossing powder. The Holographic embossing powder gave the card a mysterious feel.

Challenges I participated in this week:

Paper Sundaes was Fall or Halloween theme

The Corrosive Challenge was 'Clean Up the Dust' which meant to use anything which has been sitting around for awhile...mine was Holographic embossing powder.

Stretch 'N Bubbles was to use the digital stamp.

Have a SPOOKTACULAR Day.

Graceful Cross

Here is a card I made a few weeks ago from a video I saw on the Internet. The cross is created using a corner and edge punch for SU. After punching out the cross and the four corners run the paper through your CB using the Swiss Dot embossing folder. I used my Cricut to cut out the flowers. The bottom flower measures 1 1/4 inch and the top flower is 1 inch. The leaves were created using a Sizzlet die.

Here's the video, enjoy.

Wild West Inspiration

This week over at MyGrafico the theme challenge #66 was to use metal on our project. In addition, the design team was able to use digital papers by Tainted Sweets - Wild West Quotes & Cupcake Cuties - Western Bandanna Papers. The project to share with you this week is a Library Pocket Card.

The solid cardstock used were black, red and craft. The metal used in the project is a silver eyelet, library clip, and metal swirls. The metal swirls are created using Aluminum foil. Yes, your read right...I said Aluminum foil. Using this product made it appear like metal but not the weight of metal. You can find the Library Pocket card template I used here.

I also submitted this card for several challenges this week.

Frankensquare

Hey friends! I have a cute card to share with you today. I created this card using the 'Frankensquare' digital stamp from Stretch N' Bubbles.

I choose orange, dark orange, hot pink and bright green for the card layout. Not your traditional Halloween colors. To make the card cut the orange pattern paper 4 1/4 x 11 fold in half. This will be your base card. Cut the hot pink piece to 5 x 2 1/2 inches. Next punch out 3/4 circles in hot pink and adhere. The bright green measures 1 3/4 x 1 3/4 inches. The Frankensquare stamp measures 1 1/2 x 1 1/2 inches.

Below is a close-up view of the colored Frankensquare.

I colored the digital stamp using Copics and then I applied 3D Crystal Lacquer. I wanted the feel of this card to have a more rugged look since it was for Halloween. Imperfections were expected! *-)

Sooooo many opportunities to customize the look of the Frankensquare stamp using either Copics, basic colored pencils, water colored pencils, or what about ...paper piecing and GLITTER! Frankensquare is located in the SNB store
here.
Recipe:
Stamp: Stretch N' Bubbles, Frankensquare
Paper: HL, SU and other
Coloring: Copics
Other: Metal Swirl, Fibers, Sizzlet Arrow Die, 3/4 Circle Punch

Batty for You

This week I needed to make a project with the image called 'Batty for You' from Stretch N Bubbles.

I created this Halloween gift which holds a small size of antibacterial soap called Bat Bite. You can purchase these at Bath and Body. They were on sale for 5 or 5. Which isn't a bad price for a small gift. The digital image could be used also to make projects for Halloween such as; gift tags, cupcake pick, even a bookmark to give out on Halloween night instead of candy? The image I used can be found in the store here.

Scallop Flower Card

Hello Weekend! I love weekend's it gives me a chance to create new projects to share with my friends. I do look daily to see how many hits I get or how many new followers has joined. This information tells me you enjoy my projects and your willing to come back. If you did get a chance and haven't yet please, take the time to become a follower. The vintage look is really in right now, don't you think?

Now today's project is a card which has a 3 D scallop flower for an embellishment with is a project I made a few weeks back at a SU stamp camp.
I submitted this card layout over at
Whoopsi Daisy their challenge is 'Pile on the Flower.'
Instructions:
To make the flower you will need to punch out six scallop circle using the SU scallop punch in any type of cardstock/designer paper you choose. Crumple the paper you choose however, if you want you can mist the cardstock before you crumple. Then layer the punch pieces on top of each other and pierce the center of the scallops and insert a brad. You could also flatten the flower with the palm of your hand for a different look.
Recipe:
Challenge: Whoopsi Daisy Challenge
Stamps: SU Teeny Tiny Wishes
Paper: SU
Coloring: Early Espresso
Other: Linen thread, Embossing folder, Ribbon, Shimmer Paint (Champagne)
